UK Man Admits 13-Year Drugging, Rape Spree
A man named Philip Young admitted in court that he drugged and hurt his ex-wife for 13 years.
He said he was guilty of 48 bad things he did to her.
The bad things happened from 2010 to 2023.
His ex-wife, Joanne, was in the court and let people know her name, even though usually victims' names are secret.
Five other men were also in court for doing bad things to Joanne.
The police said it was a very big and complicated case.
Joanne was very brave, and the police said so too.
This case is like another one in France where a woman also told her story to help others.
Philip Young, 49, pleaded guilty to 48 charges including rape, voyeurism, and drugging his ex-wife.
The offenses occurred between 2010 and 2023, with the case heard at Winchester Crown Court.
Victim Joanne Young, 48, waived her right to anonymity and attended the hearing.
Five other men, aged 31 to 61, were also charged with sexual offenses against Joanne Young.
Wiltshire Police described the case as a 'complex and extensive investigation'.
