Karnataka High Court Monitors Cyber Crime Centre
Karnataka's High Court is keeping a close eye on the state's new Cyber Command Centre (CCC), which fights online crime.
The court wants the CCC to be reliable and honest, not just another government office.
The CCC, led by DIG Pranab Mohanty, has different teams to handle cybercrimes, protect against attacks, track down suspects, and teach people about online safety.
The CCC will also connect the 1930 cybercrime helpline with the police systems, making it easier to report crimes.
The goal is to handle the many cybercrime cases and follow the state's cyber security plan.
Karnataka's first Cyber Command Centre (CCC) is under judicial review by the High Court.
The court emphasizes the importance of stable leadership and transparency within the CCC.
The CCC has four wings, including Cyber Crime and Cyber Security units.
The CCC will integrate the 1930 cybercrime helpline with police IT systems.
The centre aims to address over 16,000 pending cybercrime cases in Karnataka.
