BMC Urged to Expedite Chaityabhoomi–Indu Mill Road Widening
Officials want to make a road in Mumbai wider.
The road connects Chaityabhoomi in Dadar with Indu Mill.
Anna Bansode told the city corporation to prepare the project estimate quickly.
Officials also need to arrange the land needed for the work.
Several government departments have been asked to cooperate.
The work is planned to begin on December 6, during Mahaparinirvan Diwas.
The wider road is expected to help many people visiting Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s memorial.
Officials will review the project’s progress again next month.

The project would widen the road from Ashokstambh to Chaityabhoomi’s main stupa.
Officials were asked to pursue land transfers with the Revenue Department and MMRDA.
