MP Medical Board To Assess Police Constable Candidates
Imagine a lot of people wanted to become police officers, but they had to pass a health check first.
Some people were told they weren't healthy enough by one doctor, and others were told they were healthy by a different doctor.
This caused confusion.
Now, a special team of doctors will look at the people again to make sure everyone is judged fairly.
They will decide who is healthy enough to become a police officer based on this new check.
The police will use this information to make sure the best people get the job.
The State Medical Board will re-examine around 400 police constable candidates.
This follows discrepancies in medical reports from district and divisional boards.
Candidates were initially declared unfit due to conditions like flat feet and knock knees.
Around 250 candidates were found fit after appealing their initial assessment.
Those found fit will be assigned postings, and then undergo police training.
