Bengaluru rooftop lounge kitchen shut after rotten meat, expired dairy found

Food safety inspectors are like health detectives who check that restaurants keep their food safe to eat.

They visited fancy places to eat in Bengaluru, a big city in India.

At one rooftop lounge, they found old chicken and beef that had gone bad, with fungus growing on it.

They also found milk and curd that had expired about ten days earlier.

The inspectors shut down the lounge's kitchen because it was not clean.

They threw away the bad food so nobody would get sick.

In total, they removed about 132 kilograms of unsafe food from several restaurants and food storage warehouses.

They also found lots of soy sauce that was about to expire.

The inspectors will punish restaurants that break food safety rules.

This is part of a bigger effort to keep the food people eat clean and safe.
