Bairabi-Sairang railway boosts Mizoram tourism

A new train line called the Bairabi-Sairang railway was opened in Mizoram, a state in northeastern India.

The governor of Mizoram, Vijay Kumar Singh, said this train line is very important because it will help more people visit Mizoram, make it easier to move things around, and make things cheaper.

The train line is 51.38 kilometers long and was opened by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

The governor also said that this train line will connect to another big project called the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project.

He is hopeful that the rest of this project will be finished on time.

The governor talked about how Mizoram has a lot of potential for tourism and other things like organic products, ginger, turmeric, and bamboo industries.

A group of 13 journalists from the Press Information Bureau in Cochin visited Mizoram to learn about these developments and write about them.
