PMC Begins Land Acquisition for Pune’s Kharadi Road Network
The Pune civic body wants to build roads connecting Sinhagad Road and Kharadi.
These roads are meant to give drivers another route.
They may help reduce traffic in Kharadi and Vadgaon.
The plan needs about 9,700 square metres of land.
The land acquisition is expected to cost ₹90.50 crore.
The civic body has already deposited ₹27.14 crore toward that cost.
Officials will now begin the formal notification and award process.
The acquisition is expected to finish by November-end, although a district meeting set December-end for completing the proposal.
The Pune Municipal Corporation has begun acquiring land for roads linking Sinhagad Road and Kharadi.
The plan covers a 36-metre road and a 30-metre road near Kharadi, Mahalakshmi Lawns and Javalkar Udyan.
Around 9,700 square metres of land is required, with estimated acquisition costs of ₹90.50 crore.
The PMC has deposited ₹27.14 crore, or 30% of the estimated acquisition cost, with the Special Land Acquisition Officer-II, Pune.
The acquisition is expected by November-end, while officials at a district meeting directed completion of the proposal by December-end.
