MLA Seeks Review of SC Sub-Categorisation
An MLA named K.R. Nagaraju is asking the Telangana government to look again at how they divide jobs and school spots for Scheduled Castes.
He says the current system is unfair to the Mala community and its smaller groups.
These groups are put in a category called SC-3, which makes it hard for them to get jobs and education.
The MLA gave examples where no one from these groups got jobs in recent dental exams and police posts.
He wants the government to fix this so everyone gets a fair chance.
MLA K.R. Nagaraju urges the Telangana government to review SC sub-categorisation.
The current system is causing discrimination against the Mala community and its sub-castes.
26 Mala sub-castes are placed in SC-3, affecting their employment and education opportunities.
Recent recruitment processes showed no Mala sub-caste candidates secured posts in dental exams and police department.
Nagaraju calls for a comprehensive review to ensure fair representation and equal opportunities.
