CPM Leader Blames Centre, Andhra Government for Rising Prices

CPM Leader Blames Centre, Andhra Government for Rising Prices

Ch Babu Rao of the CPM said the central and Andhra Pradesh governments had not done enough to control rising prices.

He said food and cooking supplies had become harder for ordinary families to afford.

A rice bag, he said, had gone from Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,000.

He asked people to show their anger in the coming local elections.

He also questioned why promised monthly help for women and an unemployment allowance had not begun.

Babu Rao further asked why poor families living by the Krishna river bund had not received land titles.

The report describes his criticism and does not include a response from either government.
