CJI Gavai Leads Walkathon Promoting 'Justice for All'
The top judge in India, called the Chief Justice of India, and other important judges walked in a special event called a walkathon.
They want everyone to know about 'Justice for All,' which means making sure everyone, no matter who they are, can get help with the law.
The judges believe that helping people with legal problems is like building the country and gives a voice to those who might not be heard.
This event also celebrated the idea of legal aid, which is like free or low-cost legal help for people who need it, inspired by a famous leader named Dr. BR Ambedkar.
Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai led a walkathon in New Delhi promoting 'Justice for All'.
The event was organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and included 4 km and 8 km runs and a 4 km walk.
CJI Gavai stated that democratic institutions exist for citizens and 'justice for all' should be the motto.
He also described legal aid as an act of nation-building aimed at transforming lives and giving voice to the unheard, inspired by Dr. BR Ambedkar.
Several Supreme Court judges, including Justices Sanjay Karol, Vikram Nath, and JK Maheshwari, participated alongside lawyers.
