Palghar Collector Distributes Forest Rights, Launches Fellowship
In Palghar, Maharashtra, the District Collector, Dr Indu Rani Jakhar, gave out forest rights to tribal communities.
She handed over 1,234.551 hectares of land to different villages.
This is a big deal because it helps the tribes secure their homes and jobs.
Dr Jakhar also visited a health camp and a fort, talking to the villagers about development.
Additionally, she started a new program called the Adi Karmayogi Fellowship with a local college.
This program will help students work with the government to improve the lives of people in rural and tribal areas.
The goal is to make these communities stronger and more self-reliant.
Palghar Collector Dr Indu Rani Jakhar distributed 1,234.551 hectares of collective forest rights to tribal communities in Jawhar taluka.
