Germany Indicts Ukrainians in Russian Exploding Parcels Plot
Germany has accused two Ukrainians and a third suspect of working with Russian intelligence to send explosive packages across Europe.
The plan was to learn about how packages are transported so they could later send packages with bombs to cause damage in Germany and other places.
The suspects were caught in May 2024, and one of them was recently sent to Germany from Switzerland to face charges.
This is part of a bigger concern about Russia using sneaky methods to attack other countries.
Germany indicted two Ukrainians, Daniil B and Vladyslav T, for allegedly plotting to send explosive packages on behalf of Russian intelligence.
The suspects sent packages with GPS trackers from Cologne to Ukraine in March 2025 to study logistics routes for future attacks.
The goal was to later send packages with incendiary devices to cause maximum damage in Germany and other European depots.
Daniil B and Vladyslav T were arrested in Germany in May 2024 and remain in detention; Yevhen B was extradited from Switzerland to Germany on December 23, 2024.
