Ankur Warikoo Reflects on Privilege, Struggle and Parenting

Ankur Warikoo said he and his wife worked hard because they grew up with limited money.

Their parents made sacrifices to give them a good education.

When their son Vidur was young, the family was nearly bankrupt, so he saw some of their difficulties.

Their daughter Uzma was born later, after the family had become more comfortable.

Warikoo thinks this may give the children different ideas about how success happens.

He wants his children to understand that their comfortable life came from many years of work.

He does not want to take away their advantages, but he wants them to recognize those advantages.

He asked other parents how they teach children about struggle and resilience.
