Farmer Sells Kidney to Repay Debt
A farmer named Roshan from Maharashtra had a lot of trouble.
His cows got sick, and he spent all his money to try to save them, but they died.
He had to take loans from some people to pay for the treatment, but the interest was very high, and he couldn't pay them back.
These people started harassing and beating him.
He felt he had no choice and sold his kidney in Cambodia to pay off the loans.
Even after that, he was still in trouble.
He went to Laos for a job but was treated very badly there.
He called a politician for help, and the politician helped him come back to India.
The police are now investigating the case and have arrested six people.
Farmer Roshan Shivdas Kule sold his kidney in Cambodia to repay exorbitant loans taken from moneylenders.
Kule was harassed and beaten by the moneylenders over pending dues, pushing him into a financial crisis.
He took a total loan of Rs 12.25 lakh but repaid Rs 48.53 lakh due to high interest rates.
After selling his kidney, Kule was rescued from inhumane working conditions in Laos with the help of a politician.
