Vodafone Idea Faces Subscriber Loss Challenges
Vodafone Idea, a big telecom company in India, lost a lot of subscribers in October.
They lost 2.1 million subscribers, which is more than they lost in September.
This shows that even though they are trying to improve their network, people are still leaving.
Analysts say that Vodafone Idea is having a hard time keeping its customers because it is behind its competitors, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, in expanding and upgrading its network.
Airtel and Jio, on the other hand, are adding more subscribers and doing well in different parts of the market.
Vodafone Idea is trying to cover more people with its 4G and 5G services, but it will take some time to see if this helps them keep their customers.
Vodafone Idea lost 2.1 million subscribers in October, reversing recent moderation in churn.
Analysts note that subscriber losses are moderating but still significant compared to previous years.
Active subscribers declined across 17 of 22 circles, indicating widespread retention challenges.
Vodafone Idea's network expansion efforts include 5G services and 4G coverage, aiming for 90% population coverage.
Competitors Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are gaining subscribers and market share.
