Chengicherla Residents Demand Action on Roads, Drainage and Garbage

Chengicherla Residents Demand Action on Roads, Drainage and Garbage

People living in Chengicherla say their neighborhood has poor roads, overflowing sewage pits and too much garbage.

When it rains, water collects because many streets do not have proper drains.

This makes traveling difficult and can create unhealthy conditions.

Some families must pay private tankers to empty temporary sewage pits.

Residents say they have complained about these problems since 2014.

They want permanent drains, repaired roads and regular garbage collection.

Municipal Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy said changes in government responsibilities caused some maintenance gaps.

He promised to seek approvals, support drainage projects and provide more sanitation vehicles.

Residents are waiting to see whether these measures solve the problems permanently.
