India Extends ITR Filing Deadline to September 15
The government has given more time to file your taxes this year.
The deadline is now September 15th, which is about a month and a half later than before.
This is because the tax forms have changed, and the government needed more time to get everything ready.
So far, many people have filed their taxes, but only some have been fully processed by the government.
ITR filing deadline for AY25-26 extended to September 15.
The extension provides an additional 46 days for taxpayers to file.
The extension was due to changes in ITR forms and utilities.
Around 3.29 crore returns have been filed since May 29.
Less than 40% of verified returns have been processed.
