Jharkhand Protest Over JPSC Exam Irregularities
In Ranchi, students and young people from the AJSU party marched to protest what they say is cheating in the state’s civil service exams.
They want the Central Bureau of Investigation to look into the problem and fix how the exams are run.
The BJP also joined the protest and asked for a tougher law.
Police stopped the march before it reached the governor’s house.
The state’s exam body has already arrested some people, but critics say the investigation is not thorough.
AJSU youth and student wings staged a protest in Ranchi over alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC and JSSC exams.
Protesters demanded a CBI probe and complete reform of the JPSC and JSSC, citing corruption and unannounced cut‑off marks.
The protest was halted by police before reaching the governor’s house, and the JPSC postponed its mains exam amid the unrest.
BJP leaders, including Babulal Marandi, also called for a CBI inquiry and tougher legislation to curb exam fraud.
The CID has arrested 10 people and is investigating, but critics say it is covering up the case.
