BEML Secures Additional Metro Train Order from BMRCL
BEML, a big engineering company, got a new order from the Bangalore Metro.
They will make six more driverless trains, adding to the ones they are already making.
These new trains will run on the Yellow Line and have cool features like air conditioning and security cameras.
BEML is happy because this shows that the metro people trust their work.
They will also take care of these trains for 15 years.
This is part of a bigger plan to make travel in Bangalore better and easier.
BEML Limited secured an additional Rs 414 crore order from BMRCL for six more driverless metro trainsets (36 cars).
The new trainsets will be part of the Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase 2 (Reach 5), increasing the total order to 66 trainsets (396 cars).
These trainsets will operate on the Yellow Line corridor and integrate with the Siemens signalling system.
The trainsets are designed and developed in Bengaluru, featuring advanced technologies like IP-based Passenger Announcement Systems and Passenger Saloon Surveillance Systems.
BEML will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the trainsets for up to 15 years.
