UIDAI Launches Online Death Reporting for Aadhaar Deactivation
Losing someone is hard, and UIDAI wants to make things easier.
Now, families can report a death and deactivate their loved one's Aadhaar card online.
This stops others from misusing the Aadhaar number.
You can do this through the MyAadhaar portal.
UIDAI is also making a new app, called e-Aadhaar, that will let you change your details on your phone.
You can change your name, birthday, address, and phone number.
The app will use AI and Face ID to make it safe and fast.
But, you'll still have to go to a center to change your fingerprints or eye scans, but not until November 2025!
UIDAI has launched a new online service for reporting deaths and deactivating Aadhaar numbers.
Families can report a death and request deactivation through the MyAadhaar portal.
The new service aims to improve digital record accuracy.
UIDAI is developing the e-Aadhaar mobile app for Aadhaar management.
The e-Aadhaar app will allow for online updates of personal information, using AI and Face ID.
