Nagda Traders Challenge 10 PM Closure, Seek 24-Hour Markets

Traders in Nagda want some shops to stay open after 10 pm.

They say the state has a policy allowing markets to operate for 24 hours.

The traders say tea stalls, eateries, restaurants and ice cream shops help people at night.

They also claim these businesses must close while liquor shops and bars sometimes stay open later.

They want the same rules to apply to every business.

They gave a memorandum to government and police officials.

Leaders in nearby Mahidpur also asked for a later closing time.

The reports do not say whether officials agreed to change the order.
