Consumer Helpline to Address GST Queries and Grievances
Imagine a helpline for consumer problems.
The government has created a special section on the National Consumer Helpline, like a customer service for taxes, to help people with GST (tax) questions and complaints.
This will go live on September 22nd.
People can call 1915 or use a website or app in many languages.
This helps people and businesses understand and solve tax issues easily.
A dedicated GST grievance category has been launched on the National Consumer Helpline.
Consumers can access the helpline via the toll-free number 1915.
The helpline and INGRAM portal will address queries and complaints related to GST 2.0 reforms.
The reforms take effect from September 22.
Counsellors were trained to handle GST-related queries.
