Pune's Metropolitan Surveillance Unit Now Functional
Imagine Pune has a special team to watch out for health problems, like a neighborhood watch for diseases.
This team is called the Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU), and it's now working in Pune!
They've been up and running for a month, even though the official launch is coming later.
They learned a lot in a three-day training program.
The goal is to be ready for any future health emergencies, like the COVID-19 pandemic, which showed how important this kind of preparation is.
This MSU is part of a bigger plan to create 20 similar units across India, with four in Maharashtra, including Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, and Thane.
This should help keep everyone healthier and safer.
Pune's Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU) is now operational.
The MSU is located in Kasba Peth, Pune.
The unit has been functional for about a month.
A three-day training program for the unit concluded recently.
The MSU is part of the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
