Fertiliser Sales and Stocks Indicate Adequate Supply
Fertiliser companies in India have sold a lot of fertilisers to farmers this Kharif season.
Even though there have been some problems with supplies from West Asia, the government and companies have found other ways to get fertilisers.
They have also made more fertilisers in India.
This means there is enough stock to last for a few more months.
The government is spending a lot of money to keep fertilisers cheap for farmers, but this might cost even more in the future because of higher global prices.
Fertiliser companies have sold 17 MT of fertilisers halfway through the Kharif season.
Current fertiliser stocks are close to 14 MT, sufficient for the next couple of months.
Urea demand is projected at 19 MT, with 9.79 MT sold and 6.87 MT in stock.
DAP demand is projected at 6 MT, with 2.35 MT sold and 4.02 MT in stock.
NPK fertilisers have seen 4 MT sold with 4.51 MT in stock.
