AIADMK walks out over poultry farmers' issue

AIADMK walks out over poultry farmers' issue

The AIADMK party in Tamil Nadu, led by K Palaniswami, walked out of the state assembly.

They were upset because the government wouldn't let them talk about the problems of poultry farmers.

These farmers have been protesting for six months, asking for higher wages to cover rising costs.

The AIADMK leader said the government is not helping the farmers and is instead favoring private companies.

He also mentioned that there are issues with law and order and a disease called Chikungunya spreading in some areas.

The DMK government, led by Chief Minister M K Stalin, insists on a debate after officials provide a clear picture on the issue.

The DMK also accused the AIADMK of being intimidated by the BJP government.

The DMK claims to have solved the old pension scheme issue and not invoked draconian laws against protesting employees, while the AIADMK claims the government has not addressed the main demand of restoring the old pension scheme and belittled government staff during their rule.
