Two student groups protested a government order about polytechnic colleges.

BRSV demonstrated in Nalgonda.

SFI held a similar protest in Madhira.

Both groups asked the government to cancel GO 97.

The order would place polytechnic diploma institutions under Young India Skills University.

BRSV leader Bommaraboina Nagarjuna said this could affect students’ ability to study for a B.Tech degree.

He also said the ECET lateral-entry scheme could be cancelled.

The protesters alleged that the plan could lead to privatization of state-run polytechnic colleges.
