Finland to Enhance Submarine Cable Security

Finland to Enhance Submarine Cable Security

Finland is creating a new surveillance center to protect important undersea cables and pipes in the Gulf of Finland.

This comes after several incidents where ships damaged these structures.

The center will use special sensors and smart computer programs to watch over the area and share information with other countries.

Finland has already stopped some ships from causing more damage.

They plan to build this center step by step and might get help from the European Union to pay for it.

The goal is to prevent any harm before it happens.
