East Coast Railway Sets Record for Freight Loading
The East Coast Railway broke a record by moving a lot of stuff by train very quickly.
They loaded 100 million tons of goods in just 134 days, which is faster than ever before.
This shows they're doing a great job compared to last year.
They've been the best at moving goods by train for eight years straight and are making more money, with more passengers and more earnings.
The railway is also celebrating by holding events for its workers and local community.
East Coast Railway (ECoR) achieved 100 million tonnes of freight loading in 134 days.
This is a record for Indian railways, 14 days faster than the previous year.
ECoR had a 10.7% increase in freight loading compared to the same period last year.
In 2024-25, ECoR led in freight loading for the eighth year, with 259.25 MT.
Passenger traffic and originating earnings also increased.
