Pune Metro Ridership Jumps During First Day Of Ganeshotsav

Pune Metro had many more passengers on the first day of Ganeshotsav this year.

About 2.62 lakh people used the Metro on September 14.

This was more than the number who travelled on the same festival day last year.

Many devotees and other citizens chose public transport because the city was busy.

District Court station had the most passengers overall.

Mahatma Phule Mandai station also had very heavy traffic.

Metro trains were scheduled every five minutes to help manage the crowds.

Some stations were recommended for visiting Ganpati displays, while Mandai was mainly suggested for return journeys.
