Mizoram Churches Plan Protest Rally Against FCRA Amendment Bill
The Council of Churches in Mizoram, which includes big churches like the Presbyterian Church of India and the Baptist Church of Mizoram, wants to hold a protest on August 11.
They are worried about a new law that could let the government take away money and property from churches and NGOs.
The protest will start from two places in the city and meet at Vanapa Hall.
The council says the government isn’t doing enough to stop the law.
They hope the bill will be changed or cancelled before it becomes law.
