NDA and YSRCP Clash Over Bhogapuram Airport Credit
A big airport in Bhogapuram is about to open on August 1, 2024.
Two political groups, the NDA coalition and the YSRCP, are arguing over who should get the credit for building it.
The YSRCP says the previous government did most of the work, while the NDA says the project was already almost finished before the YSRCP took over.
The debate is happening because the new Prime Minister will open the airport.
Both sides want to show they did the most important work.
Bhogapuram International Airport is set to open on August 1, 2024.
NDA coalition claims the project was largely completed before the YSRCP took office.
YSRCP argues that land acquisition, financial closure, and approvals were secured during its tenure.
Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav says the NDA is trying to steal credit for the airport.
Former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao says the YSRCP government was responsible for key milestones.
