Rajeev Shukla’s BCCI Vice-President Future Faces Age Rule Test

Rajeev Shukla is a senior official in Indian cricket’s governing body, the BCCI.

The BCCI constitution says people cannot hold certain positions after turning 70.

Shukla will turn 70 in July 2027.

His name is not on a draft list of voting representatives for an upcoming BCCI meeting.

However, he may still be able to attend the meeting as an office-bearer.

The BCCI has not said whether he can stay in his post until his 70th birthday.

Shukla was elected vice-president in December 2020.

He may also have to take a three-year break from BCCI office after completing six years.
