Delhi Govt to Clear ₹140 Crore EV Subsidy Dues After HC Order
The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, will pay about 140 crore rupees in subsidies to people who bought electric vehicles.
This comes after the High Court told the government to speed up payments.
The government will check all applications to make sure they are correct.
The delay in payments was due to past events.
The Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy started in August 2020 and gives tax breaks for electric vehicles.
The policy has been extended to March 31, 2026.
Delhi government will clear pending EV subsidy dues of approximately ₹140 crore.
The Delhi High Court ordered immediate action to disburse the subsidies.
The Transport Department will verify all subsidy applications.
The EV Policy has been extended to March 31, 2026.
The delay was caused by the former CM's arrest.
