Court Grants Bail to 6 Protesters
A court in Delhi decided to let six people out of jail who were arrested during a protest at India Gate.
The protest was about air pollution, but some people shouted support for a person named Madvi Hidma, who was a leader of a group called Maoists.
The court said these six people can go free on bail, which means they have to promise to come back to court and pay some money.
The court didn't let four other people out of jail because they think those people might do something bad again or run away.
The protest happened on November 23, and the court made its decision in December.
The police say 23 people were arrested in total.
A Delhi court granted bail to six protesters arrested during an anti-pollution protest at India Gate.
The protesters were accused of raising slogans in support of slain Maoist commander Madvi Hidma.
The court noted that no evidence links the six protesters to radical organizations.
Bail was set at Rs 15,000 each, with conditions to prevent absconding or tampering with evidence.
The court rejected bail for four other protesters, citing concerns about their alleged ties to the Radical Student Union (RSU) and potential for further offenses.
