Deadly fog-related crashes on expressways
On December 15 and 16, two big accidents happened on roads in India because of thick fog.
The first accident was on the Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Haryana, where many cars and trucks crashed, and two people died.
The second accident was on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, where several buses and cars crashed and caught fire, killing at least 13 people and injuring many others.
The fog made it hard for drivers to see, which caused the accidents.
Rescue teams helped people and put out the fires.
The government is trying to make roads safer by adding more signs and lights and telling drivers to be careful when it's foggy.
Two separate multi-vehicle pileups occurred on expressways in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh due to dense fog.
At least 15 people died in total, with 2 fatalities in Haryana and 13 in Uttar Pradesh.
Several others were injured in both incidents, with 70 injured in the Uttar Pradesh crash.
Vehicles caught fire in the Uttar Pradesh incident, causing panic and trapping passengers.
Rescue operations were conducted, and traffic was disrupted on both expressways.
