Court Dismisses Accused's Plea in Piyush Jain Case; Hearing Set
Imagine someone was caught with a lot of money and gold they weren't supposed to have.
The government took it all.
Now, the people accused of having the money asked the court for some documents.
The court said they already gave them the documents before, so there was no reason to give them again.
The court thought the request was just a way to delay the trial and said no.
The next time the case will be discussed is in July.
Special Chief Judicial Magistrate Kumud Lata Tripathi dismissed the application of Piyush Jain and Sunil A. Hirani.
The case involves the recovery of approximately Rs 195 crore in cash and 22 kg of gold by the GST department.
