India Seeks Global Role in Telecom Technology and 6G

India wants to help develop the next generation of mobile networks, called 6G.

At a meeting in New Delhi, experts from India and other countries discussed how to build it.

Minister Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani said 6G should be affordable and reach people who are hard to connect today.

He said satellites and ordinary mobile networks could work together to reach remote places.

The experts also talked about technology standards, research, and ways to test new networks.

The meeting exchanged five agreements with international groups.

These agreements are meant to help people and organizations work together on 6G.

India said it wants to build its own skills while cooperating with the world.
