Gujarat Monsoon Fury: NDRF Rescues 67 in Navsari

In Gujarat, heavy monsoon rains have caused severe flooding in several districts, including Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and Surat.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), along with the Army, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Fire Brigade, has been conducting rescue operations.

They have rescued 67 people, including women and children, from floodwaters.

The government has deployed senior officers and additional personnel to assist in relief efforts.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi are monitoring the situation closely.

In Navsari, around 3,000 people have been shifted to safer locations due to overflowing dams and closed roads.

In Surat, over 2,000 residents have been rescued and moved to relief centers.

The government is ensuring adequate healthcare, sanitation, and coordination at relief shelters.
