Thane Court Rejects Bail in ₹170 Crore Land Fraud Case
A court in Thane, India, has rejected the bail request of a man named Ramesh Madhav Bhadge.
He is accused of being involved in a big land fraud worth ₹170 crore.
The fraud involves fake documents and pretending to be someone else to sell land that he didn't own.
The court said that Bhadge might try to run away or influence witnesses if he is released on bail.
The land was originally bought by someone else in 1978, and after that person died, Bhadge allegedly used fake papers to sell it to others.
The police say Bhadge was involved in making fake documents and deleting evidence.
Bhadge says he was also cheated and didn't do anything wrong.
Thane Sessions Court rejected anticipatory bail for Ramesh Madhav Bhadge in a ₹170 crore land fraud case.
The fraud involves forged documents and impersonation to sell a 20-acre land parcel at Mira Road.
Court cited the large amount of money involved and Bhadge's potential to tamper with evidence or flee.
Bhadge claims he was falsely implicated and was himself a victim of fraud.
Police allege Bhadge's active role in forgery, evidence tampering, and using fake identities.
