Hawai‘i: a kingdom crossing oceans exhibition opens

The British Museum is hosting a special exhibition called 'Hawai‘i: a kingdom crossing oceans'.

This exhibition shows many amazing things from Hawaii, like feathered cloaks and god statues.

One of the most important items is a cloak made from hundreds of thousands of bird feathers, which was given to King George III by Kamehameha I, the chief who united Hawaii.

The exhibition also tells the sad story of Liholiho and his wife, who traveled to London but died from measles.

The exhibition shows how Hawaii and Britain were friends for a long time, until Hawaii became part of the United States.

The artifacts are very beautiful and tell the story of Hawaiian culture and history.
