Boy, 9, Accidentally Runs 10K Race, Wins Despite Wrong Turn
Imagine a 9-year-old named Kade who signed up for a 5km race.
But, someone pointed him the wrong way by mistake!
He ended up running a much longer 10km race.
He didn't realize he was going the wrong way at first and just kept running.
When he saw other runners who were adults, he figured something was up.
His mom was worried because she didn't know where he was.
Amazingly, Kade finished first, even though he ran twice as far.
It was a big surprise, and everyone was impressed with how fast he was!
Kade Lovell, age 9, entered the 5km St. Francis Franny Flyer race.
A volunteer accidentally directed him onto the 10km route.
He completed the 10km race unaware of the mix-up and finished first.
Kade's mother was initially worried when he didn't appear at the 5km finish.
He finished the race in 48 minutes and 17 seconds.
