Ahmedabad Youth Hunger Strikes Over Cockroach Janata Party Favouritism
A young man named Manish Brahmbhatt lives in Ahmedabad, a big city in India.
He stopped eating to protest, which is called a hunger strike.
He is upset with a group called the Cockroach Janata Party, or CJP.
The group is led by Abhijit Dipke.
The CJP chose new leaders at a big meeting.
Manish says his friends who helped the group were not chosen.
He says only people close to the leader got the important jobs.
He also says one of his ideas for a social media campaign was used by the group without giving him credit.
So he is sitting on a hunger strike outside the leader's home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The CJP says it will not become a political party and has not answered his complaints yet.
Ahmedabad youth Manish Brahmbhatt began an indefinite hunger strike in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, alleging favouritism in the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
Brahmbhatt claimed volunteers and coordinators who worked on the campaign were sidelined, with only those close to CJP founder Abhijit Dipke getting positions in the new National Working Committee.
He said he and other volunteers attended the CJP core committee meeting but were not allowed to participate.
Brahmbhatt alleged his proposed nationwide outreach campaign 'Ek Reel Desh Ke Naam' was later launched by the CJP as 'Kya Bolti Public' without crediting its origin.
The CJP named Abhijit Dipke (30) National Convener and Saurav Das (27) and Ashutosh Ranka (30) Co-Conveners, and said it would remain a grassroots movement rather than become a political party soon.
