LA Council Renews FilmLA Contract Despite Opposition

LA Council Renews FilmLA Contract Despite Opposition

The Los Angeles City Council decided to keep using FilmLA for film permits for another five years.

Some groups wanted to change how permits are given out because it can be difficult and expensive.

They wanted to make it easier to film in LA to encourage more movie and TV production.

The Council chose to renew the contract with FilmLA to avoid stopping all filming while they worked on improving the system.

FilmLA will change the new contract soon, and the mayor is also making filming easier.
