Steve Coogan, Producers Settle Defamation Lawsuit Over 'The Lost King'
Richard Taylor, who was in the film 'The Lost King', sued the filmmakers because he thought the movie showed him in a bad light.
The movie was about the discovery of King Richard III's bones.
Taylor, who worked at a university, felt the movie made him look dishonest.
The court agreed the portrayal might have hurt his reputation.
To avoid a full trial, the movie makers, including Steve Coogan, decided to pay Taylor money.
They will also add a note at the end of the film saying the character representing Taylor is fictional, so the portrayal wasn't a factual one.
Steve Coogan and producers settled a defamation suit brought by Richard Taylor.
The suit concerned Taylor's portrayal in the film 'The Lost King'.
Taylor claimed the film depicted him negatively and made him look 'devious'.
