Devotees Throng Warangal Tricity Temples for Naga Panchami

Naga Panchami is a special festival when people celebrate snakes.

On Monday, lots of people went to temples in three nearby towns called Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet.

They brought milk, turmeric, red powder and flowers to give as offerings.

People prayed at temples and at anthills, which are the homes of snakes.

Some people believe that praying on this day brings peace, health and good luck to their families.

They also believe it brings blessings for children.

Special prayers and rituals were held at the Thousand Pillar Temple and the Subramanyeswara Swamy Temple.

Many women took part in the celebrations.

The festival also reminds people that snakes are important for nature because they help keep the environment balanced.
