Russia, Ukraine and US May Hold October Peace Talks

Russia, Ukraine, and the United States may hold talks about ending the war in October.

The Kremlin said this possibility cannot be ruled out.

The United States is trying to restart peace efforts that have stalled.

Earlier negotiations did not reach an agreement.

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said he would meet Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, in Miami in December.

Russia rejected Miami and said it would accept a meeting only in Moscow.

Russia and Ukraine still disagree about territory and other conditions for ending the fighting.

The countries have also continued launching long-range attacks against each other.
