Adani Green adopts TNFD framework for nature-positive energy
Adani Green Energy, a big company that makes clean energy like solar and wind power, has decided to follow special rules called TNFD.
These rules help companies understand and protect nature while they build their projects.
Adani Green wants to make sure that their work doesn't harm nature and even helps it grow.
They plan to plant lots of trees and have set big goals for making clean energy.
They are also building the world's largest clean energy plant in a place called Khavda in Gujarat.
Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, spoke about how India should focus on its own development path and not let other countries control what India does.
He said that India should use its own resources and energy to become independent and strong.
Adani Group is investing a lot of money in clean energy and wants to make India a leader in this area.
Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has integrated the TNFD framework into its sustainability strategy to achieve nature-positive renewable energy development.
AGEL aims to achieve No Net Loss of Biodiversity by 2030 and plant 27.86 million trees.
The company has an operating renewable portfolio of over 16.5 GW and plans to reach 50 GW by 2030, including the world's largest renewable energy plant (30 GW) in Khavda, Gujarat.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani emphasized the need for India to define its own development path and resist external pressures, focusing on economic and resource sovereignty.
Adani Group will invest over USD 75 billion in the energy transition space over the next five years, aiming to deliver the world's lowest-cost green energy.
