HCL and UpLink Announce Water Resilience Challenge Winners
HCL Group and UpLink, which is part of the World Economic Forum, have announced the winners of a competition called the 'Water Resilience Challenge.'
This challenge is part of a bigger effort to find new and creative ways to solve water problems around the world.
They received over 300 ideas and chose 10 winners from nine different countries.
These winners will get money and support to help them grow their ideas.
The ideas are about making water systems stronger, using water more efficiently in farming, and improving water use in technology and energy.
Water is a big problem because there isn't enough clean water, and pollution is making it worse.
These winners are working on solutions to help with these problems.
HCL Group and UpLink announced 10 winners of the 'Water Resilience Challenge' from 300 submissions.
Winners will share CHF 1.75 million in funding and gain access to resources, mentorship, and global networks.
The challenge focused on solutions for water infrastructure resilience, agri-food systems, and water efficiency in tech/energy.
Winners include companies from the UAE, India, USA, Norway, Egypt, Australia, Ireland, Belgium, and Canada.
The Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative aims to address global water challenges and has already saved 14 billion litres of water.
