Elon Musk unveils AI roadmap for X
Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), has shared a plan to make the platform's AI smarter.
He promised that by the middle of the year, the AI will be good at showing users content they like, and by the end of the year, it will be even better.
Musk also said that ads on X will become more relevant, focusing on products and services that users are actually interested in, instead of random ads.
To make things more open, X has shared the code that decides what posts users see.
This code is now available for anyone to look at on a website called GitHub.
Musk admitted that the current system is simple and needs a lot of work, but sharing the code is a step towards making it better and more trustworthy.
Elon Musk promises significant improvements to X's AI-driven recommendation system by mid and end of 2024.
X will shift towards interest-based advertising to show users more relevant ads.
X has published its feed ranking algorithm code on GitHub for public review.
Musk admits the current recommendation system is basic and needs substantial refinement.
The transparency initiative aims to increase trust and understanding of X's content prioritization.
