Bihar Minister Says BPSC Protest Demands Met Amid Agitation

Students in Bihar are protesting problems they say affect exams and government jobs.

They want the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission examination cancelled.

They also say exams have had paper leaks and that some recruitment processes have taken many years.

Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said the government has solved almost all of the students’ demands.

He invited students to continue speaking with the government about any remaining concerns.

Protester Vikas Bhatt said students have heard promises before but still have not seen enough action.

Police used water cannons and detained some protesters during a march in Patna.

A Janata Dal (United) leader said the government is taking the concerns seriously and plans to create many jobs.

The two sides disagree about whether the students’ main problems have been resolved.
